BE ME Advanced Program

The BE ME Advanced Program is an innovative, community-centered professional pathway for PharmD students wanting to gain insight on how to be equipped to serve high-need and under-resourced communities. The program offers a focused professional track that integrates immersive learning experiences, longitudinal clinical training, and leadership development.

BE ME Advanced prepares students to navigate complex healthcare systems within diverse communities while remaining grounded in purpose, belonging, and service. Participants gain hands-on exposure to rural and under-resourced areas while developing cultural and systems awareness.

The program strengthens sustained relationships between future pharmacists and the communities they serve. Through this model, BE ME Advanced supports the development of a workforce equipped to lead with care and community accountability.

Land Acknowledgement

The University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy acknowledges that the Duluth and Twin Cities campuses are built on the traditional, ancestral, and contemporary lands of Indigenous people. The Duluth campus resides on land that was cared for and called home by the Ojibwe people, before them the Dakota and Northern Cheyenne people, and other Native peoples from time immemorial. The Twin Cities campus is built within the traditional homelands of the Dakota people. It is important to acknowledge the peoples on whose land we live, learn, and work as we seek to strengthen our relations with our tribal nations. We recognize that it is our responsibility to ensure that our institution provides support, resources, and programs that increase access to all aspects of higher education for our American Indian students, staff, faculty, and community members.
